This is the amazing moment a pod of dolphins swam close to a city’s dock amid the COVID-19 lockdown.
On April 21, Fatih Zafer, 37, filmed a rare moment as four playful dolphins were able to swim undisturbed inches away from a dock in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul, thanks to the absence of boat traffic.
According to Fatih, no one had been able to see dolphins in Istanbul’s Bosporus strait for a long time prior to the lockdown.
Fatih said: “Normally the Bosporus is crowded with ship traffic, and that’s why you can’t see dolphins in this area.
“It wasn’t just me, no one could see dolphins in Istanbul, but during this time they came.
“It seems like nature can only be free when we are in quarantine.”
