Mark Wahlberg is known for being an absolute beast with a workout routine few could match, but this brave man thought he’d give it a go.
Jonne Tiili, from Finland, produced a YouTube video documenting his attempt to copy the Hollywood star’s routine for two weeks.
It involves waking up at 2:30am with the first workout beginning at 3:45am – a run, a cycle and some gym work.
With a lot of healthy eating, high-energy snacks and further fitness work throughout the day, the tough task finally comes to an early end at 6:30pm.
Then, Jonne had to get up and do it all over again for 14 days.
Despite the challenge, he said he found it easier than expected and noticed a big difference.
“The change was so radical that it certainly took a few days, but it was still easier than I had expected,” he said.
“The hardest part wasn’t waking up at 2.30am, the hardest part was going to sleep at 6pm.
“I used some melatonin supplements (a hormone that makes you sleepy), blackout curtains, and an eye mask to block the sun and to be able to sleep earlier.”
“There are a few things I noticed,” he continued.
The frequent snacks keep your energy levels high throughout the day.
“There are two workouts a day, and that’s taxing, but it also gives you a lot of energy throughout the day.
“The morning routine is amazing: you journal and meditate (or pray, as Mark does) and your head is clear.
“You do a workout and your body is ready for the day; and as you eat your breakfast, you can enjoy the sunrise”.
