This is the breath-taking moment a drone flew through a flock of over 100 storks.
Earlier in February, Spanish filmmaker Andrés Aguilera Morillas, 23, was able to fly one of his drones across a gigantic flock of storks.
Andrés says he accomplished the amazing feat ‘in the presence of a biologist’, who ensured the craft wouldn’t bother the birds.
The spectacular footage – which was filmed by the drone as it swiftly passed by the storks without disturbing them – was posted by Andrés online, where it started to go viral, reaching over 150,000 views.
Andrés said: “You shouldn’t try this without researching how to do it.
“Doing it wrong can have negative effects on the birds, from changes to their relationship with other birds, to inability to get food for his chicks, and not even talking about hurting them physically.
“After a stressful moment, storks can abandon their chicks, or stop feeding them.
“In this case, the risk of hitting one was as low as possible.
“For them this drone was just like any other stork, and they don’t crash into each other.
“Still, when I was flying I was a little scared.”
