This groom is clearly head over heels for his new bride – after performing an impressive series of BACKFLIPS in their wedding snaps.
Chase Armitage, from Basingstoke, Hants, and his wife Amor, created some very memorable wedding photography after they decided to include the groom’s amazing acrobatic skills.
Combined with the stunning scenery of Santorini, Greece, where the wedding took place, the photos capture the couple’s picturesque wedding day overlooking the Aegean Sea.
The pair, both 31, picked the location as it was a “paradise for free runners,” and feel in love with the area after their friends tied the knot there.
Chase Armitage has starred in numerous Hollywood films as a stunt man, such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, but said he couldn’t just sit still for his wedding photos: “I always like to do something different. That’s just me.”
His wife, Amor, who is originally from Chile, said: “He is always jumping off something, climbing, flipping, etc. So I knew it wouldn’t be different this time.”
The full-time yoga instructor explains how she came across Chase online, she said: “I saw a video of something called free running. It was the first time I had saw or heard of it and when I watched it I was amazed.”
“My jaw dropped when I saw Chase flipping off Aztec ruins in Mexico, I felt an instant magnetic energy drawing me towards him. I feel in love straight away!”
But it wouldn’t be for another year that the couple would meet face to face and Chase describes how he was in love with Amor before they even met.
“Some people thought it was brave and a little crazy to travel to the other side of the world to meet a stranger but I knew it would be the most significant thing I ever did in my life.”
Amor explains how a photographer and good friends of hers travelled from Chile to take the stunning pictures and said: “we loved them” as soon as they saw them.
The couple, who certainly live a very active lifestyle, both have the travel bug and even have a recent trip to Costa Rica planned. Chase said: “we do a lot of travelling and blogging together.”
Chase, who has been working in the industry for over 15 years, said: “I love everything I do. I have never considered it as work, it’s my passion.”
