These incredible images show the stunning beauty of the whale shark.

Taken by photographer David Edgar, 30, the images show the massive whale shark slowly gliding its way through the water.

In one shot, a school of yellow patterned fish light up in the shadow of the shark, almost looking like gold teeth.

The stunning pictures were taken in July 2019 in Honda Bay, Puerto Princesa, Phillipines.

David said: “The whale sharks are followed by little yellow fish called Golden Trevally.

“Smaller fish such as sucker-fish and golden trevally often hitch a ride on the whale sharks as they cruise about the ocean looking to feed on plankton.

“These are juvenile male whale sharks, about 10-15 years old, however fully grown whale sharks can grow over 15 meters long and live to around 70 years old.”
