A little girl was so devastated about the amount of animal lives lost to the Australian bushfires that she burst into uncontrollable tears in a heart-breaking video captured by her mum.
When Maria Di Geronimo, 33, played the anthemic song, ‘We Are Australian’, her adorable three-year-old daughter, Valentina Vannini, couldn’t keep the tears back.
Filmed in their Adelaide home on January 7, the ‘Yummy Mummies’ reality TV star talked candidly with her daughter about the devastation caused to the wildlife by the destructive bushfires.
Maria tried to reassure the heartbroken Valentina that many more animals could be saved, but this didn’t prevent the tears from flowing as the little girl was distraught that the animals couldn’t wake up.
Maria said: “I have been transparent with Valentina and I have let her know what is happening in our beautiful country.
“She was so upset. It literally broke my heart when I watched the impromptu video back.
“It will take a long time to restore all that has been lost but we need to all come together. My family and I have been donating and continually are praying that the fires stop.”
