A cat rescue centre were visited by special guest Santa Claws so the felines could tell him their wishes to become adopted for Christmas.

This week, December 16, nine of the cats waiting for adoption at Cat Adoption Team [CAT], in Sherwood, Oregon, were visited by ‘Santa Claws’.

Organised by the CAT staff, the felines spent their Monday cuddling up to Santa and telling him their wishes to be adopted for the festive period.

The adorable photos show the different breeds of cats with the man himself, and are currently being used to advertise the animals in hopes of finding them their forever home before the holidays.

Alli Andress, the CAT communications assistant, said: “We identified the cats who would be most comfortable being handled and chose them for the pictures.

“As much as we want adorable pictures of all the shelter cats and kittens with Santa Claws, we do not want to stress out or upset any of the timider ones who are currently in our care.

“The cats in the pictures loved all of the attention as well as getting cuddles and pets.

“All of the cats in the pictures are currently up for adoption and anyone who is interested in any of the felines they see will need to contact the organisation.

“We hope that by taking these photographs with Santa Claws it will encourage people to adopt the animals we currently have at our locations in time to give them a good home for the holiday season.”
