An intelligent student with a passion for robotics has managed to combine rocking out and studying, by typing up his essays with a Guitar Hero Controller.
Ethann Ro is an intelligent, 17-year-old student that enjoys robotics and he always joked that he would be able to control a robot with a Guitar Hero controller.
Though Ethan had to come to terms with the fact he couldn’t master a robot with a guitar controller, the persistent student managed to apply his theory to essay writing.
From his home in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, Ethan managed to combine the buttons on the Guitar Hero controller with his keyboard input on his computer.
Once he had found a programme to assist, he was up and running, rocking out while playing Minecraft and even being able to write up his essays using the controller.
Ethan said: “Assigning the inputs didn’t take too long, but it took me a few minutes to figure out the best way to arrange the buttons.
“I’d say I spent about 30-40 minutes from getting the idea to playing my first game.
“I was just surprised that it actually worked the first time to be honest and I got this stupid smile when I realised what I had just done.
“I never would have thought that so many people would actually like this.”
