A frogfish showed off its lightning fast reflexes in catching some unsuspecting prey.
Sina Strahl was diving in the Lembeh Strait in Indonesia when she spotted a very still orange ‘sponge’.
Swimming through the crystal-clear waters, a naïve cardinal fish doesn’t realise that the unmoving object isn’t going to let it by peacefully.
Suddenly, the frogfish shoots through the water and swallows the cardinal cuisine whole before going back to floating peacefully.
Sina said: “The cardinal fish aren’t native to the straits, so they don’t know of the dangers of frogfish.
“This makes them a perfect food source for the frogfish.”
