An amorous sea lion clambered all over its mate before coming in for a cuddle.
Gena Kay, 52, was waiting for a ferry from Floreana in the Galapagos Islands to Santa Cruz, Ecuador, in February when she spotted a clingy sea lion.
Sneaking up on its unexpecting friend, the massive mammal started by climbing on to its back.
After rubbing its face against the others, it then throws a flipper over its friend before lying side by side on the dock.
Gena said: “They carried on for about a minute.
“When I saw one heading towards the lone napper, I thought something fun might happen.
“I didn’t expect the sweet sneaky snuggle it really melted my heart.”
