A carb-loving pigeon put its head through a slice of bread so other birds couldn’t get hold of it.
Mike Verhoven was walking through Sopot, Poland, on October 4 when he spotted some feathery commotion.
Looking closer, a pigeon had thrust its way through the middle of a pecked at slice of bread and looked to be wearing it like a necklace.
As other jealous birds milled around, including pigeons and seagulls, the bread-blessed bird managed to fend them off.
Mike said: “I just saw the pigeon being chased by other birds and thought it looked pretty glorious walking around with a bread necklace.
“It managed to run away from the other birds nipping at it before something startled them and they all flew away.”
