A dog-loving bride traded in the traditional floral bouquet for rescue pups on her big day.
Meghan, 30, and Brett Butler, 31, who wed in March, had their eight bridesmaids pose with the adorable puppies to help them find forever homes.
The couple from Charlotte North, Carolina, decided just a month before to make it happened and enlisted the help of Discover Love Studios.
And the best part – all the puppies featured in the wedding were adopted into loving homes.
Meghan, an attorney, said: “We got the idea from another bride who did something similar last fall.
“We chose rescue dogs because that’s where my heart lies.
“One of my bridesmaids fosters for the SPCA and she was able to facilitate everything so the perfect pups were chosen and ready on the big day.”
She added: “The pups were waiting for us at the park when we got there.
“It was such a special part of my wedding day. All of us were in doggie heaven.
“I kept forgetting to look at the camera because I was so excited to be with the puppies and my best friends.”
All eight pooches came from the Greater Charlotte SPCA.
Photographer Brittany Bolland said: “Meghan and Brett hired my husband and I for both photo and video for their wedding.
“It was definitely fun and a change from most weddings, which we enjoy.
“Some puppies were very hyper and some were just sleepy and cuddly, so it was a great mix and the bridesmaids had a ton of fun with them.
“One thing Meghan says she’ll never forget is when I was getting everyone ready for the photos and said, ‘okay everyone grab a puppy.’ It not something you normally here at a wedding.
She added: “The wedding day was beautiful. It was actually a very tight timeline and we only had maybe 15 minutes for these photos with the puppies.
“If they weren’t there when we were ready for the bridesmaid’s photos, we were going to have to skip it.
“So we were thrilled to see they were there on time and waiting for us at the park.
“Everything went very smoothly and the girls were sad to let the pups go.”
