Shocking footage has surfaced showing an angry partner screaming and hitting the man next to her on an aeroplane after claiming he was ‘looking at other women’.
The couple, who were flying on an American Airlines flight from Miami to Los Angeles this week, July 21, can be heard getting into an altercation after the female accused her partner of ‘looking at other women’.
Passengers on the flight clam that the female – who states she’s known the male since she was 16 – ‘slammed a laptop on his head’, before they were escorted off of the aircraft.
The footage shows a flight attendant trying to calm the woman down, and warning her that there is a ‘little boy right behind you’ in a bid to stop her use of profanity.
However, the woman continues to swear and act in an aggressive manner towards the man and staff around her before she can be seen striking him as they leave the aircraft.
Upon leaving, a member of staff tells the woman that she will be ‘charged with assault’, to which she responds ‘fine, whatever’ before continuing to yell at the gentleman.
Raylene Brooks, 42, who captured the footage said: “The flight had just finished boarding, although we did see the lady right before boarding trying to get online via airport WiFi she, at the time, appeared to be alone.
“I started my video shortly after they started arguing at least loud enough to hear and it continued for maybe three minutes.
“After the hit, one passenger was checked out with emergency medical technician and a flight attendant had to be replaced due to injuries.
“The total delay was about two hours, however it had been delayed already so my guess is the incident added 90 minutes.
“The crew kept trying to calm the lady down and seemed relatively calm.
“Once it became more physical, they seemed a little overwhelmed.
“The crew immediately checked on all passengers to see if there were injuries.
“My opinion at the time was why don’t they kick her off already, the racial slurs were a bit much and hard to hear especially with having my kids with me.”
A spokesperson for American Airlines said: “Prior to departure from the gate on Sunday at Miami International Airport, two passengers who were traveling together were involved in a dispute.
“Law enforcement was requested, and both passengers were removed from the aircraft.
“We thank the American crew who worked quickly to defuse the situation.
“Their actions resulted in a safe environment for all of our passengers.”
